Outside of work, Richard enjoys teaching his daughter the essentials of engineering (“bash it with a hammer”) and believes the next project will be building a potato cannon.

Otherwise, he enjoys mountain biking in the Peak District and snowboarding (mostly backwards). When time permits, Rich likes to roll up his sleeves in the garage. Here, he tinkers with his old rally car, one of his classic Minis, or the old Land Rover he describes as ‘essential’ given the rural setting of his home.
